One afternoon in 2018, few friends with different expertise met at a restaurant on a university campus. After the meal, they concerned the difficulties of biomedical education in Taiwan's university : the attraction of semiconductor Industry has led to a lack of R&D scientists in the biomedical companies. Related companies tend to purchase laboratory products from foreign countries and sell them to research institutions. The delivery time is long and the price is high. Moreover,  research resources are also seriously unevenly distributed. Professors' research funds are often cut off, resulting in longer study periods for master's and doctoral students compared to other fields. Therefore,  fewer and fewer students are willing to study... This situation shows no signs of improvement, and becoming serious in the pass fer yeas.

  Therefore, they decided to establish "IMT Formosa New Materials Co., Ltd.", and began to develop assay kits commonly used in laboratories. "Reasonable prices and 24-hour delivery" was their starting point; "Take from academia and use it for academia" is what they are doing now; finally, "Let Taiwan's biomedicine become the pride of the world" is their vision.
