Introduction
Bicinchoninic acid (BCA) is used for the determination of protein concentration. It is responsible for the making of intense purple complex with cuprous ion (Cu+), in presence of alkaline conditions. The amount of Cu+ is in relation with the protein concentration.

100 mg/mL in room temperature water.
2 mg/mL in room temperature DMSO.
Melting point : 300 °C.
Boiling point : 530.6 °C @760 mmHg.
