Introduction
DCFHD is a cell-permeable fluorescent probe. In cytoplasm, Its acetate group is converted into phenol group, which is further oxidized by reactive oxidative species (ROS), emitting strong green fluorescence. It can be used to study the degree of increase in oxidative stress in cells caused by the absorption of substances by cells.
Physical and chemical properties
Appearance: White to light yellow powder.
Solubility: DMSO at room temperature (33.33 mg/mL).
Fluorescence properties: λ ex / λ em (in 0.1 M Tris, pH=8.0) = 504/524 nm.
